MANAGER, ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH AND SAFETY VIRGINIA OPERATIONS

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for designing, monitoring and auditing the Environmental Control System, which must meet the requirements established by federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Ensures accurate submittal of all required federal, state, and local environmental permits and subsequent reporting to include Title V, RCRA, DOT and stormwater management.
  • Manages safety training program.
  • Maintains site specific EHS programs and plans in accordance with state and federal regulations and company expectations.
  • Monitors and evaluates pending legislation to determine the impact on the company.
  • Provides leadership to EHS employees.
  • Administers internal environmental and safety audits.
  • Interfaces with government agencies for regulatory issues.
  • Translates and incorporates the strategic business plan into EHS operational plans.
  • Enhances the work environment to foster self-reliant, confident, innovative and engaged team members.
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
  • Works with others in a cooperative fashion.

Qualifications:  Experience, Competencies and Education
  • Experience interpreting complex laws and regulations
  • BA/BS degree
  • Experience managing various EHS disciplines
  • Maintains highly confidential and sensitive information
